Playwire Media is a full-service digital innovation partner that leverages online advertising and proprietary technologies to build publishing brands in the gaming and entertainment verticals.

To keep pace with our explosive growth, we are currently seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer. You’ll be responsible for producing high quality UX design solutions for tools and products that will be used by the world’s top brands in advertising and digital publishing. You will ensure that all elements of a user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative thinker who is able to grasp user needs and solve complex problems. A strong portfolio showcasing successful UX design projects is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for a product’s direction, visuals, and user experience
  • Identify opportunities to refine existing user journeys, flows, and components
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Translate written and verbal requirements into visual examples
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex tasks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards for typography and graphic design
  • Develop and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards to instill brand continuity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or other related field; or equivalent
  • 4+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Experience balancing product, development, and user-centered goals to help shape overall product strategy
  • Experience working on a product from inception to shipment
  • Ability to manage time and work efficiently and effectively to produce deliverables in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and/or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • A critical eye for detail
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile development process

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced proficiency using Figma as a collaborative wireframing, visual design, and design system maintenance tool
  • Experience conducting usability testing and eser research
  • Design Systems experience
  • SaaS and/or PaaS based UI/UX design experience
