Full Job Description

The Business Development Manager is a key driver of company growth, responsible for leading initiatives to cultivate and engage with business partners, particularly publishers with annual revenues between $100K and $1M. This role demands a dynamic and strategic professional adept at identifying opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue through compelling sales presentations and tailored solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities, crafting and delivering persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Maintain and develop client relations, ensuring regular contact with existing customers to enhance customer satisfaction and cultivate need-based marketing relationships.
  • Develop customer relationships through research, cold calling, lead qualification, and exceptional customer service, seeking opportunities to expand business.
  • Explore opportunities to expand business with current clients by identifying additional needs and presenting solutions that align with their goals.
  • Develop and continuously refine an effective sales presentation, which is tested and utilized in the field to drive successful outcomes.
  • Implement a plan for closing deals and nurturing long-term customer relationships, focusing on customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Analyze partner data to forecast revenue, ensuring the company can meet its financial metrics and goals.
  • Regularly review site analytics to maintain data accuracy, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Contribute insights and ideas to refine Playwire's prospecting strategy and approach, continuously seeking improvement.
  • Effectively communicate the value of our offerings, establish a sense of urgency, and provide compelling solutions to potential clients
  • Collaborate with legal teams regarding contracts, ensuring the protection of the company's interests.
  • Determine the direction for the Client Relations Team to set up sites once deals are finalized, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Maintain and update our CRM system with precise and current information on leads, contacts, and opportunities, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to make informed decisions that keep the company competitive.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows as needed, preparing post-event reports and analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the growth and success of the business.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Google Analytics, DFP, Java Script, PowerPoint
  • A dynamic personality with a high energy level
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically; and to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quotas
