A Driving Force Behind Playwire’s Technical Vision, Bursey is Recognized as an ‘Ad Tech Innovator’ at Cynopsis’ 2024 Top Women in Media Awards

Boca Raton, FL, August 15, 2024 - Playwire, a global technology company specializing in revenue amplification for publishers, is proud to announce that Lucy Bursey, Vice President of Product, has been recognized as a Cynopsis 2024 Top Women in Media award winner in the category of Ad Tech Innovator.

With more than a decade of experience in the ad technology industry and nearly 15 years of technical experience, Lucy’s deep understanding and passion for cutting-edge technology and unique ability to get the very best out of people have led the way throughout her tremendous career.

Since joining Playwire in 2014, Lucy has risen through the ranks from Account Manager to her current role as Vice President, where her strategic leadership is instrumental in shaping Playwire’s product roadmap in alignment with today’s evolving digital landscape, guiding growth and evolution in and outside the company.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Lucy for the past 10 years,” said Playwire Chief Technologist, Jarrett Abello, “During that decade, I have watched her grow with the business, leading with passion and compassion.”

Abello continued, “In a world where Product and Engineering often find themselves butting heads, Lucy has gained the trust and respect of all the engineers and they are willing to go to battle for her. That alone speaks for itself. Lucy has made her mark across all teams at Playwire with her selfless approach, and Playwire would not be where it is in the market without her.”

One of Lucy’s most notable and innovative achievements is her recent work empowering Playwire’s Partner Success team with a new, more efficient centralized dashboard. Lucy recognized the challenges inherent in monitoring and troubleshooting website performance across a diverse portfolio of publishers and addressed this by spearheading the development of a more streamlined centralized Supply Health dashboard, guiding the project from concept to completion.

Supply Health Dashboard: The Results

The new Supply Health dashboard quickly became an indispensable tool for Playwire’s Partner Success team, streamlining issue identification, reducing the time required to identify and diagnose website issues, and allowing for faster response and resolution times than ever before. It also improved efficiency through the centralized key metrics dashboard.

Personal Achievements

Lucy is also a mother of two children, and an active member of Women in Tech,  the world’s leading organization dedicated to closing the gender gap and empowering women to embrace technology.

With a passion for fostering community and mentorship among women in the field, Lucy finds the Women in Tech organization to be the perfect platform to make a meaningful impact and demonstrate her commitment to empowering the next generation of women entering the tech space.
